Sangiovese 100%

This single Cru has altitude 550 m and situated in Piazze (Siena province) south-west exposure and red clay soils with limestone rocks. Vines were planted in 1970. Grapes were harvested manually in the late September, fermentation with indigenous yeasts for 25 days with use of 15%  whole bunch. Before release wine was aged 8 month in French oak barrels, 2 month in stainless steel and 18 month in the bottle. Only 1257 bottles crafted + 24 Magnums. This Sangiovese is a quintessence of  finess, aromas resemble of Nebbiolo, with its autumn notes of forest floor and wet fallen leaves. Cru with its own character. Wine for meditation.
